In this article I’ll show you how to attach a pom pom to a blanket. This method will work for both your knitted and crochet projects!
I thought it best to demonstrate how quick and easy it is to do this by way of a step by step VIDEO tutorial
Attaching a pom pom to each corner can give a really nice finish to your blanket and take it to the next level!
It’s important to note that if you decide to attach a pom pom to a blanket, especially a baby one, make sure that you tie it several times at the back and ensure that your knots are very tight.
Also, check the pom pom once in a while, especially after washes, to make sure that it has not loosened.

MATERIALS
- To make the pom poms I used the easy and sturdy Clover Pom Pom Maker (2.5″ / 6cm)
- For the yarn I used a #4 / worsted / aran / 12 ply yarn. I opted for Deramores Acrylic Anti-Pilling Yarn
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends (the bent tip makes sewing and weaving in ends much easier)
- Scissors (super sharp… and pretty)
