There are many variations of the cluster stitch and in this tutorial I will show you how to work the following versions:
- 2 Double Crochet Cluster Stitch (2dcCL)
- 3 Double Crochet Cluster Stitch (3dcCL)
- 4 Double Crochet Cluster Stitch (4dcCL)
INSTRUCTIONS: HOW TO CROCHET THE CLUSTER STITCH
NOTES
- US crochet terms used.
2 Double Crochet Cluster Stitch (2dcCL)
Step 1.
Yarn over (yo), insert hook into stitch (st) or space, yo, pull up a loop (3 loops on hook), yo, pull through 2 loops (2 loops remain on hook).
Step 2.
Yo, insert hook into same stitch (st) or space, yo, pull up a loop (4 loops on hook). Yo, pull through 2 loops (3 loops on hook), yo, pull through all 3 loops. One 2dcCL made:
3 Double Crochet Cluster Stitch
Step 1.
Yarn over (yo), insert hook into stitch (st) or space, yo, pull up a loop (3 loops on hook), yo, pull through 2 loops (2 loops remain on hook):
Step 2.
Yo, insert hook into same stitch (st) or space, yo, pull up a loop (4 loops on hook). Yo, pull through 2 loops (3 loops remain on hook).
Step 3.
Yo, insert hook into same stitch (st) or space, yo pull up a loop (5 loops on hook), yo, pull through 2 loops (4 loops on hook). Yo, pull through all 4 loops. One 3dcCL made:

Step 1.
