BEAUTIFUL HEIRLOOM BLANKET

Made from the slanted shell stitch, this shell crochet baby blanket is so rich in texture and is a great blanket for your little one to snuggle under!

I have crocheted many blankets over the years, however this stitch is one of my favourites – both to work up and for the finished result. You really need to make this blanket and see for yourself how stunning it is.

For a sweet finishing touch, I made and attached a 3D crochet bow to one corner of my blanket. But you can leave this embellishment off, if you wish… the blanket really is very striking just on its own.

Whether you make this shell crochet baby blanket for your own baby, or gift it to someone else, this blanket is sure to end up a treasured keepsake.

HI: I am trying this blanket and one side of end is perfect like yours…but other side is not…I cannot get it to look equal to other side. I’ve tried several times and cannot get each end to look symmetrical and your pictures do not seem to show both ends..

    1. Hello, I don’t have a photo tutorial for this pattern however there is a step-by-step video tutorial included in the free pattern. The video will show you exactly where to place your stitches. Thanks for your interest in this design and I hope that you enjoy working up your baby blanket! 💞

This baby blanket is lovely! If I wanted to make it bigger like 48″ by 60″, how many chains would I make?

how can I print a copy of the afghan and sweater? I’d rather work off a paper copy than the tablet, it’s much easier for me.
